Our infrastructure in Minnesota needs some work. We have to focus on dedicating more of our sales tax income to improving and maintaining our roads and bridges in rural Minnesota.

 

That does not include more funding for the metro’s light rail system. It continues to lose money and cost overruns on any new construction at this point are prohibitive.

 

Certainly, we have no need for new taxes at a time when we’re already collecting more than we should. But we must put those tax dollars to work keeping the roads safe for all Minnesotans.
